Ryan Durrent Memorial Darts Evening

Ryan was a regular face at the club on Monday and Thursday evenings, in training to join the club’s competitive boxing squad.

Sadly, Ryan died as a result of a tragic motor cycle accident. Saturday 30th November would have been Ryan’s 24th birthday, his parents and family arranged a darts evening in his memory with all proceeds going to Attleborough Boxing Club.

The evening, held at Attleborough Snooker Club saw 24 entrants for the tournament. As the evening progressed it was left for two darts players to battle it out at the hockey, and after final had taken place the winner was announced as Lee Sheens with Les Ware as runner up.

Once the tournament was completed the mammoth prize draw took place which consisted of dozens of prizes kindly donated by both businesses and individuals. The evening resulted in £510.00 being raised for club funds.

The clubs vice chairman Peter Neal gladly accepted the cheque on the clubs behalf said this is yet another fantastic boost for club funds which will be spent on something to enhance the new reception and spectators viewing area.

A big thank you to Ryan’s family for organising the event.

    Attleborough Boxing Club's Mini Bus

At the beginning of November the club took delivery of new mini bus which will enable Team Attleborough to travel together to boxing shows and tournaments throughout the UK.

The delivery resulted in over 12 months of fundraising coupled with grants from a variety of trusts and organisations.

The club then invited local businesses to advertise on the outside of the mini bus, which resulted in funding much of the fuel costs for the forthcoming season.
